Discover China’s move to transform itself from being the world’s manufacturer to being a global creative powerhouse.

In May 2008, a delegation of AIGA designers traveled to China on a unique art, design and cross-cultural journey; precisely between the catastrophic Sichuan earthquake and the spectacular Beijing Olympics.
They had the opportunity to go behind the scenes with the Beijing Olympics branding studios and learn about their massive design program.

They also visited large art and design universities, agencies, and publishing companies. All of this took place in five cities of China—Beijing, Tianjin, Xian, Guangzhou, and Hong Kong. They now have returned and have had the opportunity to share their experience.

For those of you whom have had a chance to hear them—as promised, we have followed up with some corresponding information. For others whom have not had the opportunity to hear about their adventures, we give you a sneak peak at this unique experience. Enjoy!
