US Grant Hotel
We designed the commemorative book and packaging for the grand re-opening of the US Grant Hotel. Created for Starwood Hotels and the hotel owners, the Sycuan Band of Kumeyaay Indians, this limited-edition of 450 letterpressed books and box set includes a square of the hotel’s original 1910 marble floor, a custom-minted commemorative coin and a metal bookmark attached to a quote from Ulysses S. Grant. It also features 48 tipped-in photos and a swatch of actual wallpaper from the corridors of the hotel for the bookbinding.
